Diet tips: Asian Diet Secrets Part 1

salam ukhuwah..

Lately, I have no idea why but most of my family are worried about my weight. I am 52 kilos and my height is 161 cm. That has to be a normal body weight for me, isn't it?

But to my family's eyes.. I am FAT[?]. I love my family so much *saying with sarcasm* hohohoho

I came across a documentary about Japan and their lifestyle. How they live, eat, work, sanitation levels and so much more. It was really interesting.. Japanese like to live healthy.

Even working in an office, they have a schedule for the employees to exercise before working, have a food consultant to watch their diet, clean the their office tables before, during and after work. I am just looking at the video with my mouth open wide as hell! (sorry for the word) The way they lived and taking care of themselves as well as their family members. It is amazing and should be taking as an example to others who aren't as into clean and healthy lifestyle[like me! HAHA.. IRONY]

So I thought to myself  'what is their diet like?' and I came across this video. This girl pretty much pictured
of what I saw on tv and after hearing what she said, I think I might want to try change my way of living little by little.. Soon, I have to get on my feet again because I'm starting college in less than 15 days! Yikes!

I like to share this with everyone 'cause it is nice to hear other people's opinions and maybe there are others that are disagreeing with this video and my point of view. Sharing is caring..but it is much better to listen to others as well. :D yes?

When A Door Closes

Allah will ensure to open 10 more for you..

Assalam'alaik... :^)

a few words

from a person whom had one too many words,
to one who only says a few...

she's afraid to say during the moment,
afraid she might embarass herself,
afraid she might hurt people by her tongue,
afraid she couldn't find those perfect words.

it may be because..
it was beautiful for even words to say,
it was too traumatic for words to figure,
it was such a forlorn feeling that words cant understand,
it was just needed silence to fill the moment.

the only she sees was that moment,
and the only thing she could do... is watch..listen..be silent.

it's all about the 'BROWS'

Assalam'alaik everyone..

I've been bored staying at home for the past few months (actually since July) so I just browse around the internet a lot. particularly youtube, then I started watching movie trailers.

I saw Lily Collins in Mortal Instruments and I was awed at her very beautiful eyebrows. Society before thinks bushy brows are not up to their standards but I beg to differ. I have never plucked, tweeze or even waxed my eyebrows because I am grateful that God provide me with them otherwise you wont know what my expressions are. (hohohohohohoho!!!)

To be honest, I was never interested in make up in my whole life. I prefer to go with the au naturale... I very much disliked seeing women wearing fake lashes, bright ugly shade of lipstick that never matches them and 50 pounds of make up on their faces. it just seemed so plastic to me.

CARA DELEVINGNE
Now I'm very please that people are starting to warm up to the idea of natural beauty. Less is more. Because you dont need to hide that beautiful face of yours..really.

But seeing that I'm already 20 and my youth is slowly being eaten by my age, I might as well try....and I can't believe that I'm saying this....Make Up.

I do not actually do tutorials or whatever.. I just like to blog about things that I find interesting to me. There is one video that I would recommend to all of you if you'd like to try for this look. enjoy!!

Mental Age Test

Salam 'alaik everyone..

I saw something viral among my peers.
A Japanese Mental Age Test.
They gave you random questions and just answer Yes No or Either.

Snow in Egypt

assalam 'alaik
lately i've been hearing from my friends in Egypt... it's Snowing.
hahaha... somehow I get the feeling that Egypt is going to be magical this year and many prizes are yet to come.
Now the night hits to 0○C which has never happened before and some of the city areas are starting to be covered by white blanket.
Last year, I went on a trip to Sinai and Dahab In Egypt. The place is just beautiful in its own simplest way. It didnt have anything extravagant..no malls..no fine dining. Just a small seaside village with a very warmful sunset.
It is the night that is much more magical. the streets filled with decorative lights. A mix of traditional and modern music whispering in the thick cold air of winter.

Sweet Temptation

Assalam 'alaik,
I have a guilty pleasure that I think everyone can understand..
I am addicted to FOOD-PORN.
You know on social networks, there are people who would literally just posts amazing, good looking, delicious food just to get at all of your faces??
I could not resist looking at them.. the food is just so.. tempting.

If someone would ask me which would I prefer? a man or food? I'd definitely say food over lover.hands down.. 'cause I've done that before. haha...

Empty Mall [?]

assalam 'alaik,
a few days ago my mother brought me out 'cause she was bored...and so was I.
it got even bored when we went to Suria Sabah.
there were literally less people that you had ever expected.
Metrojaya was on sale and nobody needs to hassle over a pair of good shoes.
unless your in KL..when it is on Sale, better to save your skin rather buying those bags..hahhaha

I end up taking selfies in Metrojaya and the workers didn't seem to mind at all.
Even I could care less if they asked me not to. hohohohohoho

Online Shopping or the Mall ??

assalam 'alaik everyone

how is your day? life sometimes has its ups and downs.. but its our choice wether to see it in its brightest of days or the darkness of night.

Anyways, I got back from KL.. it was our family annual thing.
We went to KL on the holidays for the Grand Sale that Malaysia hosts every year.
When its on sale.. it LITERALLY is ON SALE!!

Imagine yourself seeing this gorgeous Leather Sembonia bag it was sold at RM100 from its original price RM550..
That is the greatest that God has bestowed onto mankind. Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah! :D

But there are some stores I prefer to buy online.. the international stores such as MNG, TOPSHOP, FOREVER21 and etc.
There is a very good reason for it ok... I tried to find the store online and found out that they would literally have a 50% percent off on every clothes, shoes, pants, accessories. EVERYTHING!!
It was cheaper compared the ones I bought in the store itself.
But of course, the shipping costs RM40...
You'll get free shipping if you buy over RM250.
well that's the only downside of the story

Unless you're like me.. stick with the online shopping,
I like going to KL but you have to manage a lot of things
for example; buying a plane ticket, finding the nearest hotel, taxi, and food expenses
that alone cuts my shopping budget.. unless I went on a crash diet. yecckk [yeah, that will be NEVER]
I live in The Land Below The Wind, so it is not easy to go to KL from time to time.

NASYEED IN TEAM

salam 'alaik everyone..

I just looked through some old photos and then I found this.Well, it wasn't that old..it was around April 2013 and I could still remember the concert. The one night where Malaysia's Nasyeeed Group IN TEAM came to Zagazig, EGYPT.

I was never a fan of religious songs, I was more of a mix of mainstream with the oldies.. mostly the oldies. I may look young but inside, I'm 50. hahahahaha...

Funny Uncle

Assalam 'alaik,

Today I just arrived at KL.

it was a 2 hour and 20 minute flight from my hometown. And I have an interesting story to tell you.

I sat next to an uncle in the flight and as we were up in the air, I got tired. I tried[pretend] to sleep but it was so hard because most of the people surround me were uncles around the age of 40++.. I thought "Is there some kind of Convention for the Oldies?"

Anyway, I started to noticed the uncle beside me pulled out his iPad and he started to swing it here and there. First left then right, up then down. I thought to myself 'If he wants to find a Wifi up above, that's never goin to happen.' It took me 15 seconds to realise that he was talking a selfie of himself. lolsss...

I didnt expect THAT. It made my day and I end up laughing by myself.

p.s. He's not really my uncle...i just called him that way 'cause t seemed more approprite to me. :^)

Alternative Kitchen and Medicine

Assalam 'alaik..

I'd like everyone to meet James Wong.

this very handsome bloke here is an ethnobotanist, in simple terms.. this fellow learns about flowers.

I first saw him on a tv show called "Grow Your Own Drugs" and his tasks was to help the everyday people on how to handle health by using the greens in you garden. Your health problems can either be nausea, migraine, stress, insomnia, etc..

I like the show very much [and it has nothing to with him ok...haha] because he teaches people an alternate medicine for our health issues. People today now use the pharmaceutical drugs everyday like as if it were candy. Most of the drugs that are provided for us will later bring side effects to our body, some of them cause liver malfunction. I said SOME.. not all. If you think of panadol, you are right

As for myself, I too sometimes use them... but when it is an emergency. Later, my mum made me eat some kind of nutritive tablets that provide the amount of nutrients i need. I think. :^/

Anyways, for those whom would like to try alternate traditional medicine.. you can go and read on his blog, just click the website below

http://homegrown-revolution.co.uk

There are other ways for us to learn herbal medicine.. go ask your grandma, duh...haha. There are also apps on Google Play which you can download for FREE. For me, I use AYUVERDIC HERBAL REMEDIES or  HOME REMEDIES. This app prevents from going to a pharmacy and I thankful for it. The best medicines are just around our house and our kitchen. ^_^

Religion and Apparel Wear

assalam alaik everyone...

yesterday, i came across a vey interesting quote by Mufti Ismail Menk. He is one of my favourite Islamic Speakers because his words are very simple and straight forward. There are also times he tells his funny encounters in life. hahah.. ^_^

Anyway, Mufti Menk tells that there is a difference between one's spirituality from one's apparel wear. Sometimes we think we are above them when Allah All Mighty say otherwise. Allahu..

I find this quote to be the WAKE UP CALL that some of us need. We might never realized it that maybe we have done it before. That is misjudging others.. This is not only for Muslims but for everyone as a message that we need to open the covers and read the book before judging it from its appearance.ok? :)

This is more of a lesson to me more than anyone else. I just love to spread great and inspirational to others... to bring a smile on someone's face.
